Accessibility Statement
Last updated: February 2026
SubmitFox is committed to making our UK tax filing service accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.
1. How Accessible This Website Is
We have designed SubmitFox to be as accessible as possible. You should be able to:
- Navigate the entire service using a keyboard
- Use the service with screen readers (tested with NVDA and VoiceOver)
- Zoom in up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Use the service in high-contrast mode
- Complete tax returns without relying solely on colour to convey information
2. What We Have Done
- All form fields have visible labels and are properly associated using HTML
- Error messages clearly identify which field needs attention and how to fix it
- Focus states are visible on all interactive elements
- The step-by-step tax return wizard announces progress to screen readers
- All pages have descriptive titles and a logical heading structure
- Colour contrast meets WCAG AA minimum ratios throughout the interface
- Interactive elements have adequate touch targets for mobile users
- ARIA roles and live regions are used where native HTML is insufficient
3. Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved, and are actively working on them:
- Some complex tax calculation tables may not convey their full structure to screen readers — we are adding proper table headers and captions
- PDF receipts generated after submission may not be fully tagged for assistive technology
- The FoxChat AI assistant relies on text input and does not yet support voice interaction
4. Assistive Technology We Have Tested With
| Technology | Browser / Platform |
|---|---|
| NVDA | Firefox and Chrome on Windows |
| VoiceOver | Safari on macOS and iOS |
| TalkBack | Chrome on Android |
| Keyboard-only navigation | All major browsers |
5. Technical Information
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed under “Known Limitations”.
SubmitFox is committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
6. How We Test This Website
We test SubmitFox for accessibility using a combination of automated tools (axe DevTools, Lighthouse) and manual testing with assistive technologies. We review accessibility when making significant changes to the interface.
7. What To Do If You Have Difficulty
If you find any part of SubmitFox difficult to use, we want to help.
